Amanda Sthers

Amanda Sthers was born in Paris and now lives in Los Angeles. She has written eleven novels, which have been translated into more than fifteen languages. To highlight just of few of these works, her 2005 novel Chicken Street was named by the Italian press as the Best Book of the Year; her 2007 novel Madeleine has sold over 200,000 copies worldwide. She wrote the best selling only authorized biography of the French superstar Johnny Hallyday and her 2015 novel Promises ( Les Promesses) was named by Elle magazine as one of its picks for top ten novels of the year and selected in all the prestigious French literary prizes. Her most recent novel ‘Holy Lands’ is out now from Bloomsbury.

Giula Clara Kessous

Actress and director Guila Clara Kessous is an expert in theatre and human rights. She gained her doctorate under the direction of Nobel Peace Prize recipient Elie Wiesel and holds the title of UNESCO Artist for Peace. She has produced and directed over twenty performances on stage, collaborating with famous artists and activists such as John Malkovich, Malala Yousafzai and Boris Cyrulnik. She is also the author of the book “Theatre and sacred in the Jewish tradition” (PUF, 2012).

Jeff El-Eini

A splendid family drama written and directed by the acclaimed novelist and playwright Amanda Sthers with an all-star cast and set mainly in Israel. Harry Rosenmerck (Caan) is an American cardiologist who decides to walk away from his loving but dysfunctional family to become a pig farmer in Israel, fully aware of all the controversy that will follow. Hel eaves behind his estranged son David (Rhys Meyers) a successful gay playwright, his daughter Annabelle (Dor) who is still studying at the ageof30andhisex-wife(Arquette). Harry is faced with the wrath of Rabbi Moshe Cattan (Hollander) who condemns his pig farm before the two really get to know each other.
