Dear Friends and Festival partners,
Due to the current context linked to Covid-19, and in order to protect the most exposed of our spectators, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel and move the holding of our Festival to the 21 to 24 June 2020. Uncertain as to the possible measures that could still be taken, the recommendations of the cantonal doctor, as well as travel bans or quarantine obligations in countries where some of our guests come from have also contributed to this decision.
The GIJFF is a cultural, festive and social event. It should take place in the joy of getting together and the desire to share moments of pleasure and culture. The dates of our Festival must not be marred by restrictions and anxiety.
I am convinced that you will understand our decision and that we will meet again in June in order to celebrate, as we should, the 10th anniversary of the Geneva International Jewish Film Festival.
I look forward to seeing many of you there.
